Career

Lee Do-yeop is a well-known actor and director in the theater industry. He directed ''The Guy Meets Her (2007),'' a modern take on Anton Chekhov's one-act comedy. He also directed The Proposal (2011), another modern take of Anton Chekov work. Lee Do-yeop is also well-known for his family commercial that won the Korean Advertising Award in 2009. The advertisement takes on a documentary-style approach, showcasing the journey of bringing a new life into the world and the growth of a mother and her baby. Actor Lee Do-yeop signed an exclusive contract with Fn Entertainment on February 26, 2020.

Personal life

In January 2008, Lee Do-yeop tied the knot with his Sejong University junior and theater actress, Jeon Su-ah. The couple started dating after appearing together in the play ''A Beauty Salon for 10 Pyeong'' and got married after just six months. When Woongjin Coway posted an advertisement for public advertisement models who were expected to give birth in December 2008, over 200 pairs applied. However, only three couples, including Lee Do-yeop and Jeon Su-ah, were selected for filming. Jeon Su-ah gave birth naturally to a son on December 27, 2008. The advertisement documenting the birth of their son, Lee Si-hoo, was widely popular. As a result, the baby was well-loved by the public and even earned the nickname "nation's baby".
